Transportation Driving You may drive your vehicle right to Sandy Bay. There is a paved highway to within 80 miles of the village. The remainder of the road is gravel. From Flin Flon you take highway 106 (Hanson Lake Road) for 40 miles. Turn north on Road 135 and travel through Pelican Narrows to Sandy Bay. You can eliminate this two-and-a-half hour drive by making arrangements with us to be flown from Flin Flon or Lynn Lake.
Both the Flin Flon and Lynn Lake airports have navigation aids and good paved runways. Planes may be left here and we can arrange floatplane service to our camps. There is an airstrip at Sandy Bay, but only certain aircraft's are able to get in and out depending on conditions. Please check with us before attempting to use this strip. Commercial Airlines There is a commercial jet service to Winnipeg, Manitoba from certain cities in the Mid Western States. From Winnipeg, Canadian Airlines (Calm Air) has regular service to Flin Flon and Lynn Lake. We will arrange floatplane pick up and drop off from these centre's to our camps.
